Web13 jul. 2014 · I have a bike which requires Honda cartridge fork oil # SS7 but I still have plenty of fork oil of the old school type (10wt.,7.5wt.,15wt.,etc.)and want to use it in these forks. Using the same damping settings, 5 weight allows a faster reaction in both directions which is controlled by the damping adjustments on your forks. As well, the lower weight oil is less affected by temperature change - especially cold temps.
