Web8 Jun 2014 · The tool shown by the OP can produce three types of patterns on the workpiece, all using one pair of straight (90°) knurls: straight (parallel lines), diamond (30° pattern) and square (45° pattern). Web4 Mar 2024 · Allegedly. A proper diameter to knurl must be a multiple of the distance between the teeth of the knurling tool divided by Pi. So for a 1 inch shaft to be knurled, with a wheel with a .060 inch tooth spacing. 0.060 ÷ 3.14159 = 0.019. By juggling some numbers 52 x 0.019 = 0.988.
